About Our Club Meeting

We, NaQ-TMC, hold meetings regularly on the first and third Saturdays every month.

THE CLUB MEETING

The regular club meeting consists of three basic sessions.

TABLE TOPICS SESSION

Members have an opportunity to present two-minutes impromtu talks . The Table Topics has twofold purpose:

• To give everyone in the room an opportunity to speak.
• To get people to learn how to think fast and speak on their feet.

FORMAL SPEECH SESSION

Several members present formal (prepared) speeches based on projects in themannual that is sent from the headquarter in the USA. The speech is done within the limited time. Usually at least three speakers are scheduled; however, this may vary depending on the meeting program and length of the meeting.
After completion of ten prepared speeches based on projects, youmay receive COMPETENT COMMUNICATOR (CC) Award.

EVALUATION SESSION

Each prepared speech is orally evaluated by a fellow member in a helpful, constractive manner using given evaluation criteria given in the mannual. In addition, the evaluatorpreparesa written evaluation for the speaker.

MEETING ROLES

In Toastmasters, you learn by participating. During Club meetings you will participate in many roles, and each one is a leading experience to be a good leader (You may receive the COMPETENT LEADER (CL) award, after completion of the LEADERSHIP MANNUAL). Following are the roles:

Timer
Table Topics Master

Toastmaster of the Evening

EVENTS

Besides the regular meeting, we have various types of speech contests, workshops, parties and so on. They bring us great opportunitiesfor our improvement in many aspects, and, of course, a lot of fun!
