Guests and Attendants of the 139th Regulars Meeting.

At the meeting, TM Rio Imamura, a guest of the day, of Kitakyushu TMC kindly gave speech on "a story of chocolates" before
going into sessions; retired on the way of the meeting due to his itinerary.
Also, we had a visit of local town magazine reporters.
TM Uemura, Past President of Term 2005-2006, went onto the platform as the top Table Topics speaker, and gave termination speech as a member of NaQ-TMC. Actually she left the club for Tokyo to live with her partner next to their son's family. Good luck to her.

New Year Party 2008 (19 Jan 2008) after the 139th Regular Meeting
After the meeting, New Year Party 2008 was held at "シャルディーノ," 2F of "Second Site" at Hanabata. (The Venue was selected by our SAA Nasu). Of course, the party was bidden farewell to TM Uemura; welcome back of TM Ii; and goodwill for Guest (Ms)
Matsunaga and ourselves.

Division E 2nd Officer Training 2008 in Kumamoto (2 Feb 2008)
The Division E 2nd Officer Training 2008 (OT-2) was hosted by us, Nakakyushu Toastmasters Club, and sponsored by
District 76 Toastmasters International.
The OT-2 had the following flow of program:
13:30~ Opening -- Keynote Speech
14:30~ Workshop
15:40~ DCP Follow-up -- Special Information
16:10~ Special Speech -- Closing

OT-2 was conducted by OT Master Kawano, VPE of NaQ-TMC.

The OT-2 started with Welcome Address by TM Ken Honda, President of Nakakyushu TMC; Division Governors Opening Address by TM Toshiko Mohri, Division E Governor; and District Governor's Greeting Address by TM Takashi Suzuki, District 76 Governor.
Keynote Speech on Stick to the Manuals and Activate your Leadership Track was made by TM Inatsugi, Former District Governor.
Workshop Session took place after intermission. Participants were grouped for discussion according to their club office, namely, President Group, VPE G., VPM G., VPPR G., Secretary G., Treasurer G., and SAA G., as well as Japanese Club-Roundtable Group.
In each group, one of present or former Governors of the District 76 Executive Committee took the role of the Trainer; Gov Suzuki, District 76 Governor was the Trainer of the Secretary Group, for example.
At the end of the session, an assigned participant in each group gave summing-up speech for all participants. During the session, the Japanese Club-Roundtable Group had their meeting at the separate room.
Upon call of Special Speech Session, TM Kyoko Ii was about to approach to the platform (above).
TM Kyoko Ii gave presentation on: How I enjoyed the SVJETs. Her speech, her Toastmastering, and her experiences in the US, strongly inspired the audiences indeed. Actually, she served offices of presidency - President and VPE - at the Silicon Valley Japanese English Toastmasters Club (which is the formal name of the SVJETs) in California, USA.

Division E OT-2 Welcome Party
Participants - officers, trainers and observers - gathered at Beer-Restaurant ODEN, ten-minutes walk from PAREA, the OT-2 venue; TM Shimamura, Area 53 Governor, started the good will party toasting:
"Let's drink to the success of Division E 2nd Officer Training 2008, and to the contribution of you."
TM Matsuda, Area 53 Governor, Hiroshima TMC (HTC) says:
"The District 76 2008 Spring Conference in Hiroshima is only 4 months away."
He continues: "Please start planning to join the District's top event as well as to see what the city of Hiroshima has to offer."
TM Bunzo Suzuki, Chair of HTC 08SC Pre Committee, follows:
"Keyword of the District 76 2008 Spring Conference is HOSPITALITY." Official slogan of the conference is: Speak for the World to Hear.
President Honda, NaQ-TMC, gave us message of satisfaction, saying in his e-mail in Japanese:
みなさま、
遅くなりましたが先週土曜(2月2日)のOfficer Trainingは大成功でした。
多くの参加者から役に立った、いいトレーニングだった、仲間ができたなどとほめ言葉をいただきました。本部役員などベテランがトレーナーになり討議が出来たこと
、60人近くと最高の参加者数だったこと、わがクラブの伊井さんが感激のスピーチを提供したことなどが興奮を呼び起こしたと思います。
役員の方、支援の方々ご苦労様でした。
中九州TMCが力をつけてきた証でもあり、チームワークの成果でもあります。またエリアやデヴィジョンの広がりの中で活動するTMCであることを教えてくれるもので
もありました。
今回担当した役割の工夫やプロセスを出来るだけ書いて残しましょう。それが次の行事を成功させる財産になるのですから。
また例会を楽しく積み上げ、興奮を時々経験しましょう。
